I usually take deer zoomed in as far as I can go but the landscape and the light here reminded me of the old British oil paintings. The young stag looked lovely against the autumn setting. I hope you like it

buena captura,
con magnífico foco e interesante habitat...
buenos colores,

hello Karan
as i see the head, focus don't seem as perfect as the previous shots, however the framing is very good by showing the beautiful environment with fall colours

Hi Karan,
A very nice composition with good layers--the ferns, the big trees close to the stag, and the background trees. I might have cloned out the branch at his hind quarters; for me, they detract from his graceful rack and tail. Wonderful light catching the stag as well as the mossy growth on the nearby trees.
TFS,
Karen

Hi Karan,
Yes, it looks like an old painting, but it also reminds me of wall-carpets I've seen in village homes that I did not like too much. But that is certainly not your fault: the way we perceive an image is preconditioned by our background.
Regards,
Tibi

Lighting and the inclusion of the stag in the landscape does look reminescent of a George Stubbs painting (ok, with a deer instead of a horse). The only minor change I'd suggest would be to clone out the branch sticking out of the stags back.
Thanks for sharing
Mark

Wow! What a great game shot, Karan! I like it a lot! You framed your shot very very well. I like how you placed your subject in the picture and the the inclusion of the trees' leaves at the bottom. Great details and depth.
