[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My Mom and Dad came to visit over the weekend. I took my Dad to one of my favorite morning spots at China Camp State Park. We were lucky on this morning because during most of the drive all I could see was fog and clouds. Well the sun was nice enough to put on a light show for us this morning. Perhaps in the next couple days he'll post of few of his shots. Here is one of mine. This shot could have been a lot better in my mind if I hadn't, by accident, left the ISO at 1600. This shot luckily didn't have a ton of noise....

PP: Processed from RAW in Nikon Capture NX
Slight saturation, re-size for TL, and USM.

The sunrise colors are really interesting

Nevertheless, I personally believe that the front is too important. I will suggest an other format in workshop later on

Hi Mike: A wonderfully done sunrise, I love the rugged green mossy rocks against the pink sunrise colours... and the division of the colour on the composition is well done .... great photo:0)

Very nice and original point of view of sunrise

Good POV Mike. The foreground looks great, and the sky and BG contrast so well with it. Lovely colours.
Thanks for sharing
Janice

Looks great for ISO 1600. the color is fantastic between the red and blues in the sky and the green on the rocks. TFS

hi mike, good classic composition, nice color pallete from top to bottom, exposure worked well to, good work, thanks scott

Hi Mike! What a lovely scenery! Lovely colors and very fine details. Very good low POV. Good timing for the mood.

Great shot Mike.
I have been to China Camp, but several years ago.
Wasn't doing much Photography back then.
You have me thinking about another visit!
Well done, love the sky color.
Vincent.

Mike
I see what you were doing after we left. Your mother found the workshop of interest. Can't see any noise on my monitor. Capture NX worked well for you. I have started pictures form the cruise so China Camp will have to wait a bit.

Dad

Wow, Mike, this just hit me in the face! Love the colors you captured in the scene. TFS Excellent ratio of land/sky, just gorgeous.
