Lady Driver ! Cool Motor
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Today I made a last minute decision to get up very early and drive north to see the Cheviot Rally in Otterburn, Northumberland.
It was my first attempt at motorsport shots and I primarily used Sport mode settings, I realise there is little motion or speed effect due to high shutter speeds, I did try Auto for a while with panning but those shots were lousy.
Nice bright morning, good to see a lot of the entrants carrying respect badges and stickers to the memory of Colin McRae - and with it being Remembrance Sunday the organisers stopped the event for a 2 minute silence in honour of our war heroes.
The drive here is Jude Wylie, in an ex Group B MG Metro 6R4, cool car and a very committed drive.
PP involved levels and crop with a little sharpening. I'm still a bit unsure when it comes to composition - I tried to leave a bit of road for the car to 'run in to' but as the original was not much bigger than this I had little to work with.
Any top tips about anything would be appreciated,
Thanks,
Neil. |

Good job of placing the road in the frame so that the car has room to travel through the photo. The shot is also crisp and full of detail. Good job. TFS
