Hi Good buddies,

I know this picture is a little on the uninteresting side, it is a very simple scene and I used a conkin sunset filter to add some interesting colours. I have been very busy working away from home all week recently and have not had time to go out with the camera and take anything new, so I have had to resort to posting pictures from my emergency folder which I use when I have nothing new to post.

Although I sound quite down about this, I do actually quite like it, the simple composion does appeal to me.

I hope you like it.

Cheers
Tom

I like the picture as it is- the feeling that one gets is that of satisfaction, of being there, many times I get this feeling that a picture speaks to me just by looking at it. There is so many beautiful pictures on these sites, thanks for adding another one

Hi Tom - I disagree on the "uninteresting" remark. "Simple and effective" does not mean uninteresting.

The colours and composition are good and the silhouettes are clear and sharp. The crop is interesting, I think you could do something extreme and crop right down to almost just the Church and tree. Oh, and I love the name "Blubberhouses"!!

Czesc Tom,

Beautiful capture! It seems like a magic world :] Lovely deep tones and composition made a special atmosphere. Very well done & TFS :]

Greetings from Poland,
Pawel

I like this too. I love the lowering sky and the simplicity of the scene. The colours are great and there's enough detail in the foreground to keep it interesting. Very atmospheric!
Cheers, John.

Great work, Tom. Excellent colour and light.

HI Tom

Nothing uninteresting about his my friend. I think its a great shot, superb tones and just the right amount of light. lovely image

TFS regards Helen

Hi, Tom,
A peaceful and nice scenery. I like the light and this almost sepia colour.
I also enjoy the slight sloping land.
Very nice with a particular atmosphere, both peaceful and somewhat haunting.

Hello Tom
I like the colours of the clouds. The church and trees look like a film set that would cost thousands, and yet you have captured it for free!

Hello Tom, you're right to like it because it's a good one, it's simple but very effective. The clouds, the church and the tree makes it a fine composition. I like the warm light too. Thanks,

Mario

Hi Tom, thanks for this one, I don't agree that this is "uninteresting". It has a moodiness about it and the light is great. It also reminds me of when I was a kid and used to walk up the 1 in 4 (25%) gradient hill at the side of it going from the Blubberhouses post office (demolished in the 1960's) back to Timble where my Mum and Dad used to take me on holiday! Cheers, Dad
