I find pelicans to be wonderful birds. I found a couple of dozens of these guys living on a pier in St. Petersburg, Florida next to a tourist bait shop with a sign that said "Feed The Pelicans". I watched them for about 30 minutes. It was sad to see them fighting over a fish for the entertainment of the tourists. This little guy was coming in for a landing near the bait shop. Thus he was "coming home".

PostOp: Cropped, resized and sharpened.
Blurred the building behind to de-emphasize them. The day was overcast, so I set the white balance for a little grayer then I normally do. Added a little contrast to darken the shadows. |

This blur give the fantastic effect, the head and neck, imerge from my monitor. I like that! The movement and blur, works well together!
Wonderful action shot of this fascinating sea bird that is one of my favorites, too. They abound in the marinas and on the ocean where I live and I never tire of watching them. This is a fascinating capture of action with blurring in BG and focus on the pelican. I love it.....:O)
