| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
In January I attended a programming class in Tampa. At night, after dinner, I would sit in my room and go over my notes and prepare for the next day’s class. After one exceptionally trying day, I took a break from reading and I noticed this line of light on the wall. I became obsessed with it, sitting there trying to find the source of it. After getting up off my butt, it was easy to see what caused it. So while I was up, I grabbed my camera and tripod and shot a few pics of it.
After I returned home and was going through the photos I took in Florida, I came across the ones I took of this light. All I could think of was “Why did I do this?”. Then I remember the day I had had there and I remember how calming it was to hear the sound of a camera shutter. So this is what it’s about. My passion for photography is my tranquilizer, whether people think it’s good or bad. I’ve learned to look at the world differently. When I’m having a difficult day, I grab my camera and I frame my world. And like the “12-step program”, each frame brings me back to normal.
PostOp: Cropped and sized, or course, to fix TrekLens specification. Sharpened slightly. Kept the orange color of indoor light and added a little saturation. |
