[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A second photograph on my female Mallard. The best-known and most recognizable of all ducks we know. The female Mallard is light brown, like most female dabbling ducks, but has some stunning blue colours if you look carefully at the wings.

Some strange facts:
- Although Mallard ducks have been known to live as long as sixteen years of age, most of them only live for one or two years;

- Mallard pairs are generally monogamous, but paired males actively pursue forced extra-pair copulations. In other words; They gang-rape female Mallards;

- The Mallard is the ancestor of nearly all domestic duck breeds.

Hello Dennis ! Good moment caught here, sharp and well composed pic. Now with your big glass you'll need to find more rare and exotic birds ! :-)

This is SUPER Dennis! The action of shaking his feathers is really nice! You caught him in a perfect state! The ripples out and the water off his beak is so nice! Really excellent action shot!
