Bavo or Three Towers

This is another experimental photo, made with a photo that in normal conditions was too dark and too unsharp. However, if you play with Paint Shop Pro, you can get some interesting results out of this kind of photos.

This photo shows you three times the tower of de Grote of Sint Bavokerk (Great or Saint Bavo Church) in Haarlem. First, I only made the version in the middle, later, out of that one, I also made the two other versions and put them together in one image.

Some information about the church:
De Grote of Sint Bavokerk (Great or Saint Bavo Church) was built between 1370 and 1520 in the Gothic style of architecture.
The church has some famous bells and the legend tells that the two upper bells are taken from the Egyptian city of Damiette (in Dutch Damiate and the bells are called Damiaatjes). Knights from Haarlem took the bells from Damiette during the 5th crusade. Since 1561 the bells ring every single day from 9pm to 9.30pm to commemorate the victory by the knights from Haarlem in Egypt. But they also indicate the closing of the city gates.

If you want to see a 'normal' view of the tower, please visit one of my photos on TE:

Hope you like this one! :-)

Hi Lars.

Mooi werk.

groet Rob

Hoi Lars.
Knap stukje werk in PSP. Three of a kind.

Hello Lars,
Interesting composition; very graphical reminding me (in the good way) the pop art of Warhol and company. I like it.
My regards, mb
