Backpacker

Having a club outing and I come across this backpacker sitting right outside Queen Victoria Building in Sydney.
I was challenging myself to go out and shoot for whole day with just 1 lens and I glad I did. No sore neck, and I am concentrate and think more.
Using 7D with 20mm lens (30mm equivalent)
He looks so relax and immense himself in his book while having a pizza. What a great way to start a day.
I try to take an image of a person, feel relax, deeply love what he was doing and enjoying himself.
I ask myself, will having eye contact better? I prefer this one as this has a bit more mood then he just looked at me.
Hope you like it... |

I think you did well here, a typical backpackers' moment, away from home, doesnt know where he'll spend the night, but he also doesnt have any problem sitting in a corner, relaxed, eating and reading, enjoying life. Maybe your composition is too much center weighted, but I like the grey background.
