Very nice photograph, but you lost some focus on the pollen, and I did a workshop.

Hello, Sarju...Macro is a difficult medium in photography and you have chosen a difficult subject. For that reason, I believe you have presented a very good post of the flower. I am glad a WS was done to explain some PP work. I like the soft colors and the play of the shadows from the sunlight....and welcome to Treklens...:O)

Hi Sarju,
This shot really seems nice.. But I think, that much of field depth was not necessary..
And you may try it with a colorful spot at night. That may give a result much abstract..
Nice shot :)

I love this composition with that use of dof which which I think works well with that sweeping stem in the foreground but I agree that the strong use of limited dof has left the pollen a little to blurred.I tried a workshop but I feel that'rodebert'has done a very good job and has really made this shot enhanced with the burn effect.

great shot!... you must have a wonderful lens on your camera to get that shot!...

congratulations

sarju, as kathleen said, this is a difficult subject and macros, alone, are difficult anyway! i'm always struggling with the depth of field! i would have like to see the focus on the stem that is extended toward the camera...maybe that could be some inspiration to keep trying :)
also, i really like the way the petal seems to be glowing, almost, in the sunlight.

beautiful!lightning is perfect!i like how you focused on the middle.it's very sharp and colours are good too.well done!

Hi Sarju - this is a good shot of the flower. "Such an ordinary shot" you said. May be so, but it is superbly special, especially with the sun making shadows of the stamens on the petals. And look at the glitter of the petals too. I have no problems with the pollen not being sharper. I like it very much as it is.
