Do you know, In Spain, there are also plenty in the wild. I have pictured them a few times but from a large distance, ones even a flight of one hundred of them when they came back to the saltlakes of Snta Pola, at Costa Blaca.
This looks, taken in a Zoo. or what ?

Pragtige foto Annette! Duidelik en helder ten spyte van die skerp sonlig hoewel jy bietjie detail in die wit verloor het.. Wel gedaan. Is dit nie wonderlik hoe hulle hulle nekke byna verdraai om te slaap nie!

What fascinates me about them Annette is how they change colour with diet. A couple of them on the move and with two legs visible but the rest with their heads tucked away. Lovely colour, good detail and in this case I feel the frame is quite fitting. TFS,
