[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The driver of the truck coming at me has better sense than I because he is heading away from the storm, and I'm heading into it.

About 6:15 p.m., natural light, auto mode, Canon PowerShot A75

This stack of hay bales was sitting close to the stack I shot in my other Idaho post.

cropped, auto levels, auto contrast, resized and USM, saved to web

I have been on so many roads like that in the USA........long and lonely!

Another nice view of the haystacks. I notice a bit of 'noise' in the sky. In the days of non-digital cameras this used to called 'grain'. There's a really good free download from NeatImage.com that reduces this noise quite well. They have an automatic feature which is easy. Most TL members have downloaded it, and it's FREE. Try it sometime (unless you have already have downloaded it). Becareful with the contrast in post processing. Sometimes scenes like this don't need any extra contrast.

This is a beautiful scenario with a special lighting, composition is great.

Liron.

I've got to admit that I like your other hay bale picture better. This one is composed nicely and the sky is again real intense but the stack of hay (which I see as the subject here)is awful dark and lacks detail. Also the contrast is quite high. The colors here are awesome. And yes... the dude in the pickup is going the right direction:-)

Hi CK, good place for a film scene. Wide and lonley landscape ... and what could happen at this place on the left side? ... I like pics which have room for some stories.
Nino.
