Forget 'bout the cropped ear Adam; that's the way it becomes a great journalistic one. These eyes are fantastic, the look itself tells a wohle story of a hard life and things we do not want to see, of the daily fight of survival...

I think a crop from the right side would improve your nice photo, because the white area disturbs. Also the white on the nose and the hair is too much burnt.
