Corniche at Night 36
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is one of the first experimental night shots that i did in my second month with photography. I used a tripod for this. Tried experimenting several times. I failed on most of the pictures i took. Some too dark, some too washed out, some too blurry, must be some minor wind vibrations on the tripod. I used a very thin aluminum tripod that vibrates when the wind comes gushing in. But I tried some more until a got a pretty decent image. Almost 3-5 tries or more in this long exposure experiment.
Took this at the Corniche park edge. Did the shot on the night of the UAE 36th National day. Corniche in Abu Dhabi, is an awesome man-made place, looks so natural to park goers like me, looks like it was really there several years back. But everbody tells me all was water before the whole of Corniche was ever here. Amazing architecture and engineering.
The word corniche comes from the French route à corniche or road on a ledge. Corniche is a very long stretch will take you hours if you walk the whole of it on foot. |

Your first night image is Superb.
i like the composition, the contrast of color in the foreground and background, the reflection on the water, the orange glow, the cleanliness of the shot.
