[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another cockpit shot of the Boeing 737-800, this time coming in to land on short final at Liverpool. Viewed looking over the shoulder of the handling pilot it shows clearly the perspective seen by the pilot as he approaches the final stages of the manoeuvre.

The low light levels create their own problems photographing in this environment. Not least as there were vibrations and movement to contend with. I used a 16mm fish eye lense to maximise the light into the camera with a D80 body set to ISO sensitivity HI1.

The High Intensity Approach Lights of the runway not only serve to aid the pilot make a successful and safe approach but perhaps more critically, provided me with sufficient light to get this shot. Notably the shutter speed increased the closer to touchdown we got due to the increased ambient light.

Your critiques are welcome.
