Dear friends,
presented here is St. Mary's on Church Street, close to the intersection with the High Road in Buckden St. Neots, Cambs.

I took this picture on a visit to Buckden last month.
While taking this shot, the Vicar walked up to me and was fascinated with my equipment and what I was doing - especially because it was dark.
I explained how low light exposures work.. and this made her even more fascinated.

She mentioned that she was very proud of this building and that it was nice to know that someone wanted to take pictures of it.
I told her it helped that the flood lights were on as I had imagined the look of the lit stonework against a blue sky.

Tripod mounted on a broken low wall. The shutter was held open for 20 seconds - at F/7.1

Thank you for looking :-)

Hi Daniel,
From thumbnail, I thought I am going to see a polarized shot taken under bright sunlight. Nope! I was wrong, your specialty is a great low light shot.

Beautiful architecture. The warm lighting contrasted with lovely blue sky to make this shot lovely to see. Very nice, Daniel.

Hi Daniel. This is a new style from regular bridges in London. Good POV and well timed to get this interesting effect. I like the gravestones placed in the yard, as was the trend with small populations many years ago. Good work. TFS. Murray.

Another stunning example of your achievements in nocturnal photography, Daniel. I really like how the back of the church has a different feel to it with the lack of flood lighting. The building is beautiful and statuesque and the POV used shows this perfectly. Professional as always.

Hello Daniel. Simply wonderful, breathtaking clarity and colours. The shot is further enhanced by your simple and effective framing. Thanks for sharing.

I love these old English Churches. They give the countryside real character. Your low light photography has brought out the beauty nicely. Its a shame there appears to be a burned out are on the left hand side of the church by the window. You need stillness with such a long exposure. The tree on the right seems to have moved a little. These are minor points however. Its a beautiful shot. TFS
