[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
By chance, I caught this couple just outside Biggar, heading towards the town in their fairly modern-looking light open carriage pulled by a fine pair of horses. They certainly looked happy and their horses appeared to be enjoying the exercise because they were travelling at a fair speed.

Unfortunately, I was caught a little unaware and shot this at a fairly slow shutter speed. Had I had the time, I would have increased the ISO a little so as better to freeze the horses' movements with a faster shutter speed. As it happens, I was pleased to get this shot.

Shot in RAW, converted to TIFF in Canon's DPP and edited in PSE6.

John!

A superb buggy, and straight forward composition. I have only one little point; the horses heads are just a bit too dark. You might have made a small correction there. I love the slow speed used although creating this cool movement.
Well done.
Robert

Hi John,
I love this, great pair of lovely horses pulling this scurry trap. The couple look well relaxed driving them. Great action shot.

This is a very clear shot that the slow shutter speed has enhanced, you seem to have got away with it John .. I do like the detail of the carriage and the blurred background that still shows detail but does not overpower .. they do seem a happy couple but I bet it was cold on that carriage

Michael

Hi John
Another good shot, I wouldn't fret to much about your shutter speed as this shot has a sense of movement good colours not overtly saturated I suppose my we niggle is about the small reddish object in the upper third
Have done a wee B+W for you
