[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A break from my usual landscape shots..

He is a 77 year old sidewalk cigarette vendor in a public market. What particularly caught my attention is his very expressive eyes.

-------
PP work:
- Adjust the tones in Light Room. I was shooting waterfalls the whole day (story here) and had my image optimization set to landscape. I just desaturated the primary blue in LR.

I did not post process the eyes. Its possible to get good catch light and reflections if the lighting conditions are right. This was taken at around 3PM. Although the area where he is sitting is shaded, he was directly facing the harsh summer sun, thus the reflections on his eyes came out great.

Thanks for the visit!

Hi Allan,

nice potrait. i like the editing done, the pic looks smooth and the colours are calming making the eyes look more expressive.

TFS!

Hi Allan,

I have to agree with your remark on the expressiveness of his face. I've been to the Philippines, and he surely has an outspoken gaze - and a slight eye disease creating that halo of grey around the main part of the eye. But still reflecting wonderfully.

Greetings, Dennis

Wow... Superb capture, Allan. I like also the lighting.
You have capture the emotion well in this portrait.
The saturation is also my kind of thing. :)

Sin palabras... es un retrato perfecto!!!
Me gusta todo, la mirada, esas arrugas tan marcadas, la nitidez en si de la imagen...
Realmente buena!!
Enhorabuena Allan!
