[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Such crazy weather we have been having in Scotland over the past few days - this picture of my street was taken last Sunday morning, 6th. April during a surprise snowfall.

Probably two or three inches of snow fell that morning, making local roads pretty hazardous, but by mid-afternoon, the sun was shining and all the snow had vanished!

Shot in RAW and converted and edited in PSE6 alone.

All comments/critiques/advice welcome!

Hi John,
What a lovely natural shot, Sunday we all seemed to have received a dusting of snow, but by mid afternoon we all had lovely sunshine if cold.

Jane

Interesting photo and interesting weather. Very nice composition and clarity. Speaking of snow, we are getting snow now and supposed to get maybe 9" with 40 mph winds. Roads in the west are already closed. Welcome to spring.

Hola amigo,
original primavera :))
postal con detalles exelentes y pov.
buen trabajo John.
saludos

Ha, ha, John! You had exactly the same sort of weather for your, April shot! Fortunately, you were able to capture it when it still looked interesting and Christmassy!

Your pov is great with the receding roofs giving a good feeling of perspective and the pavement creating an excellent leading line.

The subdued colours give a very good feeling of the conditions but who would have guessed it was April?

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Great shot and one for the memory book:) Love the fresh snow caps on the fence tops and cars and tree branches. The perspective works well, and the light/color quality also. Excellent!

Hi John

It has been a strange spring. Even in Sussex I had about 5 inches of snow in my garden. It was the first proper snow we have had in years. Nicely composed and sharp scene capturing the strange weather
