For Helen friday theme day : My Street

Jakarta streets like most of developing country always have the similiar problem. Poverty, beggars, vendors, they all looking for a little fortune in the streets. But this not what I am trying to show here. Just a moment of a street scene.

I took this from a crossing bridge of one main street in Jakarta. I like the graffity in the bg. Though not really colorful. And I like the metal plate as the b/g also. So to have a fill in object, I waited a pedestrian to walk across. And I like her with a seems like a heavy load on her shoulder.

By using selective colors, the poi is not the graffity on the metal plate anymore but on her, but hope you like it

Good subject and well handled. The graffiti and the girl's hand at her forehead convey a strong message and mood, yet are interestingly contradicted by brighter colors in her clothing. Excellent:)

Hello Yan,
street scenes like this are my favourite genre so I especially enjoy this. A good strong composition. I like the black and white background and the touch of colour with the woman.
