Hi Joe,
It does look neat. The repeating patterns are interesting. They are made more interesting by being somewhat transparent as the light glows from behind them. The pleats in the lampshade create some dark shadows that are a pleasant contrast. Very nice!
Well done!

Joe... this is a super abstract. I really enjoy the tones and shades of yellow.
Interestingly enough... I would've thought a shot like this would have been difficult to pull off with the range in it, but you've done a great job metering and exposing it.
Really nice results here.
Great shot, Joe! I really like how everything is in shades of an ambient yellow, but not really monochromatic. Your color tones are nice, too; they are also very smooth.
The only advice I would give to you for this photograph would be to use a tighter composition. Do you see on the top, how there are "upside-down triangles"? I am talking of the small ones, not the bright yellow ones. To me, they are a somewhat distracting element in this photo. I think that you should crop them, as well as the blurry (I believe because of depth of focus) pleats on the right side of your frame.
But, as a whole, I think that this is a really good shot!
Thanks for sharing.

Chuckle...I like it! You have turned your lampshade into a fascinating design. The backlighting from the lightbulb helps pull this off successfully. Great idea and results.
