[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is beautiful loch Morlich in the Central Highlands with the magnificent Cairngorm mountains in the background. We drove up to the ski lift and mountain railway a little later and was amazed at the amount of snow that's fell over the last week, the skiing will go on well into May this year.

The lovely beach is unusual for a freshwater loch

At first I thought there were many clouds in the sky, but then I saw these incredible snow montains!!

Wondrful scene. I did not think that places like this existed in British Islands. This looks something from the Alps.

What an incredible place you live Douglas! Just amazing view of this Mountain range! A straight horizon line?? Who ever heard of it?? B-)... LOVE IT!.... Love the layers here, sand, water, trees, mountains!

The clouds spilling over those high mountain peaks are just stunning. What an incredible, sweeping view - magnificently captured here, a real sense of distance and scale. Amazing! Very nice balance of metering in every part of this shot too, I don't know if you used PP but if so it's very subtle and effective.
... So this is actually a beach? My first thought was that the lake level was unusually low.
