Badger posing as the Saint Bernard, and Mount Lady MacDonald posing as Matterhorn. A few images of the originals can be seen here, here, and here.
Mount Lady MacDonald (2606 m) is a mountain in the Bow Valley Wildland Provincial Park, which is part of Kananaskis Country. Located very close to Canmore, this is arguably the most popular scramble in the Rocky Mountains.
Because of the warm, dry Chinook winds funneled through the valley, these mountains are free of snow very early in the season. The way up to this point follows an easy path with an elevation gain of ca. 1100 m. Beneath the snow in the foreground is an old helipad that was supposed to serve a tea house. The construction of the latter was abandoned at the foundation stage and the remains can be admired close by.

Very cute subject and note, Roland! I wanna hug this cutie pie! :) Lovely details and sharp image. Very good exposure, with natural colors and high pixel quality.
Cheers!
Freddie :)

G'Day,
I second the comment re cuteness factor. Nicely composed, Badger looks to be scanning the slopes for people in trouble.

nice dof and clarity its pity Badger wasn't looking the other way into the shot.

Cool portrait.

Hello Roland!

Lovely perspective!
Best regards!
Lili

Roger

Hi Roland,
You have got a great portrait of Badger here ,he's gorgeous sitting there in a cool pose maybe he thinks he is really a Saint-Bernard ,,lol , your BG could not be more pleasant , clear blue sky and a perfect day for a hike with your cute dog ,
TFS,
Carol

Hello Roland,
nice winter shot You have. I like wide-angle here and depth of sky -resulted from the use of polarizer.
I think it would be even better to use wider angle. But unfortunately 1.6x crop factor makes this much harder;)
I am thinking now about super-wide-angle lens. Tokina
Thanks for sharing,

HI Roland
Nice to meet you fellow Canadian.
The only thing missing is the barrell of brandy. He definitely looks like he is taking his job seriously.
Great sharpness of the whole composition, the polorizer did a good job of the sky and handsome Badger looks great and fits right in. The king of his domain.
Great shot.

Hehe I love it! Perfect exposure management and amazing saturation, nicely composed with such a stunning depth of field. Everything is sharp.
Very well done

Hello Roland!

Superb backdrop to present us you model. This is not Beijing air (^_^). Love the clarity , crispeness in this environment. Bold blue color well enhanced by the use of the polarizer. a great Day for a photo shoot in the wilderness.
Thanks for the useful note too.
Cheers!
Robert

Nice portrait of your beautiful dog. Excellent setting and perfect exposure. The snow is perfectly white, and has all the detail. Excellent lighting.
