| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Today is ANZAC day, a very significant day for Australian and New Zealanders, a day we remember the sacrifice made by so many. One of the most significant events of the day is the dawn service, dawn being the time when the ANZACs landed on the beaches in Gallipoli and created one of the most historic events in Australia's history.
One of the many parts of the dawn service is the laying of wreaths by the Stone of Rememberance. This photo was taken several hours later. It is good to see such fantastic colour on a day remembering dark times years past. |
