This attractive pot made a nice contrast to the very new tall buildings nearby. It was a hazy evening in Dubai as there had been sandstorms in the region and the atmosphere was very dusty. I was taking photos of all the massive development going on in the area; so much of the desert is now under concrete and steel.
I sharpened the photo a little after reducing its size.

HI Anne..very nicely composed shot...nice details and sharpness. good job.

Roger

Excellent composition and combination of features. The haze in the background works well with the richer and clearer subjects in the foreground to convey distance and difference. Good catch and well done!

Impressive buildings - they're derivative of the Chrysler Building, right? I like the contrast of objects in the frame.

Well done on this shot. Nicely composed to emphasise both the buildings and the pot at the same time, if you know what I mean.

Great contrast between the terracota pot and the two tower blocks, both in terms of colour, shape and age. Black pot and plant to the right unbalances the composition a little, but looks a little large to be moving around so I can understand why it's in the shot ;-)

Hi Anne, fine composition and good dof . The pot at the same time contrasts with buildings but recalls them for its long shape. well seen and realized!

hello Anne

Very interesting capture of the modern towers in steel and glass with the clay pot color tone. Especially the comparison of the sharp pointed towers in silver to the curvy shapes of the pot.

I would have moved the right side pot of plant before I shoot, if it was not heavy.

tfs, bill
