[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Was at the Air Museum in Ottawa in Feb, when I saw this incredible mahogny craft. A relative has just finished rebuilding his own gull from 1957 and I hope to get a ride this summer.

Curtiss Seagull
First built in 1919
This particular aircraft (photo) was used by Dr. Alexander Hamilton Rice in 1924/25 to do a aerial survey of the upper Amazon River.
(this venture is discribed in NG issue of April 1926)
This plane was accquired in 1971 in rough shape and has been restored to the original mahogny finish as delivered from the Curtiss factory in the 1920's

Hope you enjoy as I did
Wayne

Hello WT
It appears in full glory under such a perfect lighting!
I wish you a wonderful ride soon and try to avoid the R-100 air ship!
Take care.
Robert

nice capture,

Like mahogany on sailing ships, it sure looks attractive Wayne - but then the whole building somehow looks attractive, maybe it also is the warm light on the plane and the bright cold light in the rest of the building.
Nice work,
