[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Last sunday the hall of the Antwerp Central Railway station was the setting for a tango afternoon. Dozens of dancers enjoyed the music, their partners, the recently renewed floor and the brilliant acoustics of the 75 metres high domed hall.

Not only the dancers had a good time. Many travellers, oblivious of this event sat down on the stairs mounting to the platforms, almost forgetting their travel destinations, to watch these twirling figures and join in their melancholy dreams.

Although the hall is illuminated with spots, the light inside isn't quite sufficient to take pictures of rapid moving people. Luckily the sun shone through one of the high entrance doors, creating a path of light. I tried several positions, but favoured this one, where the backlighting was strong enough but not blinding.
After examination of the many results I found this one pleasing and representative.

Original picture, just added simple frame and signature.

Critiques [Translate]

Zeer mooi sfeerbeeld. Je hebt het juiste licht gezocht en ook gevonden.
De dansers rechts (gedeeltelijk in beeld) lijden af van het hoofdonderwerp. Dit voegt een zekere spanning toe aan het beeld. Als dat een keuze is, fijn. Met het hoofdonderwerp centraal en deze dansers niet in beeld denk ik dat je een meer rustige foto zou krijgen.
't Is er in ieder geval één om te bewaren !

Les geleerd: zoek het licht.

Inderdaad steelt vooral het licht de show hier, Walter. Ik vind het halve koppel rechts niet zo erg, zonder hen zou het een vrij smal beeld worden... Het onderbelichte hoofdpaar (pun intended) is mooi in beeld gebracht, al mis ik hun voeten wel een beetje. Toch een mooi document van deze gebeurtenis, en een leuke toevoeging voor m'n CS theme.
