[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This Pelican glided past only inches from the water. The photo was taken at Greenwell Point about 100km south of Sydney - a really lovely fishing village with low flying pelicans!

That is so good, what a capture, you really stopped him in his tracks, nice natural colour, it's the eye that stands out so much.

Thanks

Great photo. It looks like you painted the bird on the water.
Great moment to catch
I like the colours and sharpness. The pelican is looking like it doesn't cost him any effort to do also.

Amazing shot Mark,
I can't believe how low the pelican is to the water
cheers
Jack

Hi Mark,

It is a wonderful sight to see the bird so close. The imgage quality is not good.

So first of all is this a crop of the original?
Secondly, did you do a panning shot on purpose? With this low shutter speed it is difficult to get the bird sharp.

TFS,
Pedro

terrific inflight-shot, love the panning, great sharpness on the majestic pelican and a nice "motion" blur on the dark blue water.
superb job & best wishes, thor.
