[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
~~ This was taken last year in the Coromandel, during the kiwi Christmas/summer time. The tree grows up to twenty metres in height, with a dome-like spreading form. At this time of the year those trees are blooming everywhere in NZ and are therefore nicknamed Xmas trees!! quite different and more colourfull than our european ones! ;) ~~

Good old Pohutukawa - always showing off it's red blooms each Christmas and summertime.

Lovely composition with the water and boat in the background. Exposure is spot on. This plant looks a lot like the Australian Bottle Brush.
