[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a shot from the horse ride we took a few weekends back. We had a fabulous Mother's Day with cool temps and blue skies. In this photo it was HOT...poor girl was just worn out taking care of her horse. She brushed him, then worked on his hooves.

For this photo I converted from RAW, then added in clarification and a vignetting around the photo. Saturation added in also.

I got a chance to talk to Vandana a bit yesterday and had a wonderful conversation! She is doing well! Hope you all had a great Mother's Day, even if you are only a mother to the four-legged's!
Have a great Monday!
Linda

Hi linda - I love the vignetting here, I think it works well with the composition and the subject matter....dunno why, maybe some sort of traditional/days-gone-by feel to the whole scene. Gives me a nagging thought that b/w or sepia may also work...but sadly no time to do a w/s :-)

The thoughtful/tired expression of the girl is also appealling. Interesting and thought-provoking shot, Linda.

Hi Linda
Beautifuly composed shot and superbly produced PP work
Regards Pez

What a sweet moment to capture Linda!
It has such a tender feeling to it.
Super colors and clarity. Well seen and captured as usual.
Well done.

Hi Linda

Natural looking color with good sharpness & framing. The girl does look a bit lethargic from the heat. The red reins & blue shirt contrast well. Good contrast & sharpness. Tfs!

Beautiful capture.
Wonderful expression on the girl.
And excellent presentation.
Well seen

Hi Linda,
Both, girl and horse, are in their own deep thoughts!
Excellent capture of their expression. Your excellent PP work enhanced the mood of this scene! Beautifully done! Annie

Hi Linda,

I like the mood and colour you have created here, again very reminiscent of older film (remember that stuff!) especially with your vignette effect.

This has such a nice soft look and feel to it, helps convey the feeling of restfulness or tiredness better than a tack sharp interpretation would have done.
The warm colors look inviting and the vignette adds a personal and private touch to the image.
(also, feels really good on a day here in NY with a chilly Nor'Easter blowing around)
Very nice work, great POV and capture.

Wilt

Nice use of the vignetting Linda, it seems to add a spotlight on the hooves and the girl. Good colour and an excellent crop. TFS,
David

Oh! I love horses!!! I really like this girls expression, a portrait full of mood. She does look like a cowgirl at the end of a hard day :) TFS

Hi Linda:
Its a wonderful & true expression of a hard day work that you have captured well.
I like the Vignette that you have used here that makes the image stand out more:)

Hi Linda,
A shot I'm so familiar with after having horses almost all my life....she looks so far away in thought, her horse working on getting her attention:o) Love the shot Linda! TFS

Hello, Linda,
Excellent scene, very well framed, I like this typical Texas scene, very impressive--a young girl and its devoted horse....Nice colors and vignette effect.

TFS,
Andreea
