The Argentinean forces in 1982 left behind between 25,000 and 30,000 unmapped plastic land mines indiscernible to metal detectors. There are 135 mined areas in the Falklands, most near Stanley and all clearly fenced and marked. INCLUDING THIS WONDERFUL BEACH!!!!!!!!!!!
There is a Magellan Penguin colony on this beach.

PS was cropping, reduce blue saturation and decrease brightness all in Camera Raw
