This is twisted, slightly off-kilter and very jet-lagged, but an entry for Helen's Friday Theme.
Viewed from the air on our return home from a trip to the UK to visit Roy's 92-year-old mum, this is the St. Lawrence River with Montreal almost in view.

I want to thank GreenBaron and RoyalDevon for helping to inject a lot of laughter into this trip.

Tech: shot in RAW, adjusted white balance, blue and green saturations to make up for the PoV through a tinted aircraft window; resized, sharpened, framed and signed

Thanks for looking & for your suggestions for improvement and have a truly wonderful weekend

I hope to be back to participate properly in a couple of weeks, once the latest family crisis is solved.

How do you do this? My pics from planes have that nasty rainbow film on them! This is so nice, works well for the theme, you give a really broad view here and the clouds make this thing really nice, just at the ceiling! Quick thinking! So glad you are back, Lotl!

I almost always have a window seat on planes to see the "road" and take photos.
your photo is well taken with part of the wing, and it came out fairly clear.

Hi Silke,
Sharp arial are always a pleasure for me, so this one. Great view of the twisting Laurence river. Like the capture of the winglet of the Airbus in the view. It was a great pleasure meeting you and Roy. Looking forward to more of your postings!

Hi Silke,

Twist and turns, a river, like life itself. Hope the crisis will be solved as soon as possible.

I love shots like this, my whole neck is in a twist when I leave the plane.

Lovely addition,

Hello Silke, I've been following your visit to the UK through Hans' images. It is so good you met up with him and Bev. And I bet you all had lots of laughs and talks about TL and the TL community.
All the best for the next leg of your life - keep well and safe, and I'm thinking of you
Janice

Hi Silke
That curvey river is a nice addition to the theme. The world looks so different up there. The current issue of Popular Photography has an article on photos from air planes - haven't read it yet. Do like this one.

Dan

Welcome back Silke even if only briefly. Lovely definition in the image and good colour. I am yet to get a half decent shot from up high. Good luck with the knee and 'Blessed be',
David

Great view. Well done even though it's very often difficult to capture through an airplane window. Sometimes there way too dirty.

Cheers
David
