this is a blend of two images.
i visited the scottish maritime museum in Irvine yesterday and took quite a few pics.

the first image i used is the interior of the Linthouse building which is a glass roofed victorian building. it is one of the 3 buildings that house the museum. i shot it in b/w.

the second image is that of a rusty keel from one of the exhibits.

blended at 60% opacity using vivid light blending mode.
adjusted brightness in roof.
adjusted gamma on blend image only.
added text.

the exhibition is wonderful as there is a lot of hands on exhibits

There are three sites on Irvine's harbourside, In the Boatshop are exhibitions, ship models and a research area, as well as the museum shop. Guided tours start here throughout the day. You can also visit Scotland's "Cathedral to Engineering", the Linthouse Engine Shop, built in 1872, where you can explore much of the Museum's collection inside, including shipbuilding machinery and machine tools, smaller boats, canoes, lifeboats, and much more. On a tour you can also visit the shipyard workers" tenement flat, restored to its pre-1920s

Hi Brian

Good PP work.
Like your POV for the building.
Poignant reminder of the Scottish ship building industry.
