In Kalgoorlie, daytime temperatures over 45 deg C are not uncommon. Prior to the advent of air conditioners, the most common vehicle for cooling was shade. To this effect, thousands of very long-lived "peppercorn" shade trees were planted throughout Kalgoorlie. These trees and their small red/pink berries are everywhere--in this case, hanging on a wire fence.

It a beautiful picture with earthy colours. The grills actually add perspective/ patterns to the picture in a positive way. The background is very grainy and captivating - a well done F2.8!
