Absolute Concentration!

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This was taken at a shooting competition on the international range in Bloemfontein. After the day's events were completed and the scores were being added up, a competition of a different kind was hosted!
Catapults were supplied and each competitor could take a few shots to knock over the metal plates at about 15 metres. Great competitive spitit reigned and lots of laughs were had at the antics. This particular shot captured the moment perfectly and that is why I posted it. The "shooter" tied an old scope onto the catapult to "assist him in the sighting" for the shot! The tongue was used to check the wind strength and thereby assisted him in making the necessary adjustments to the sights! [Tongue in cheek]
Cropped, slight alteration to contrast and saturation, resized and framed.
I left the horizon in even with the angle to add the trees into the scene. I also did not attempt to remove the spectators as this is the scene as it happened.
Please stop by and pass comment and crit! Thanks. Tim |
