Run, Rabbit, Run!

How high can a startled jack rabbit jump? Apparently, quite high :)
This was one of those point-and-shoot moments. No time to frame, no time to focus. I didn't even raise the camera to the viewfinder -- just aimed and followed the motion. I had to laugh and hope you enjoy it, too.
I was pleased with the sense of action captured here, even though I can take little, if any, credit for it.
In presenting, I thought about a tighter crop, but opted for this instead -- precisely as framed in my camera. My hunch is the point of view emphasizes the jump and the compositon shows not only the setting but gives the subject room to move within the frame. Thoughts? |

LOVE IT!! There are time when a blurred photo shows so much! The action of his leg and how fast it's moving is great! Halarious shot Jim! Really a fun catch!!

Hi Jim,
A rabbit running faster than its shadow!
What a stunning capture!
I can see this kind of motion in cartoons but I never think that it would be captured by a camera!
It is a funny image! Bravo! Annie
