Part of an ongoing project to photograph plants. This one is a rose in a vase (such complicated titles!).
The rose and vase were placed in an improvised light tent to minimise reflections off the ceramic surface of the vase. The image was then further processed in Photoshop to remove the background, smooth the surface of the vase (removing imperfections and some other surface anomolies) and then a small shadow was created under the base of the vase to give the impression that it is resting on a surface. A but of curves, colur balance and desaturation gives the final image. |
