[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here's another recent visitor to our garden. The silvereye. They are a very quick moving little bird that have been calling on us and feeding from the nectar on the Red Hot Pokers. I built a screen to hide my camera, eventually they became quite tolerant of my presence and I was able to set up my tripod for a closer view.
Thanks for looking folks.
Pat.

Beautiful shot Patricia! Lovely detail and sharpness. Great bokeh in the background, too, a beautifully even and subdued background for your subject.

Hi Patricia,
Your patience was rewarded, this is a great capture of this 'flighty' little bird.
It is a little over exposed IMO.
Hope you don't mind, I have done a quick workshop.
Cheers,
Pete.

I'm so impressed with this shot Patricia! Very nice details, excellent DIFFERENT post than normal. Love how he hangs off the edge, just doing what birds do! Nice work!

He looks great on the Red Hot Poker Pat. The flower looks a tad OE but the little bird doesn't seem to mind.
It's a lovely shot

Wow, this is an honours. Great shot, so sharp where it counts, the background is perfectly subdued, the composition is perfect and the colours pop out. You are getting very canny with your techniques. (Building a bird watchers hut/screen). Well done!! Karey

Well done Patricia.
They are such shy little birds - and a bit flighty so its a delight to see them so comfortable in your photo.

Kay

Indeed Pat, I thought that will be the only way, because if I dare venture out into the backyard the birds are making a lot of noise!
You did great here and I love those red hot pokers. We did see them a lot in Ad's country South Africa as well.
Beautiful work.
