Grand Canyon, AZ
- photo taken in Feb of 2004 with a Nikon E880 -
This is an evening view, pointing North, just minutes before sunset.
The West side was cloudy and only for a few minutes the sun had the chance to shine through an opening...
It lasted about 5 minutes, but it was worth waiting for that moment. Sunsets in GC are truly spectacular.

Oh yes, Daniel, it was worth waiting for this moment ;o). Not only the colours are spectacular, but also the atmosphere conveyed by your photo: space and peacefulness (though this one could be captured from a very touristic - and thus noisy - place).

Yes its the clouds that make teh shot coupled with the light.

very dramatic, a great last sunray on this famous and wondrous landscape

Hello Daniel,

The drama in the landscape has an attraction value in itself, but what catches my attention here are the special light conditions...
The haze in the air adds to the atmosphere, and it is amazing to see how light plays with some of the rock formations!
