Today, we bought a little bit of Spring for our garden. After a lunch out with a bunch of retirees, we drove to our local garden centre to buy a few tomato plants. When we got there, there on a low wall at the front stood this wonderful beautiful bush in a large pot. It is a flowering almond bush and I fell in love with it. So after we had picked up our tomatoes, and a few other things to plant, I said I wanted to buy this lovely bush. It will bloom throughout may, and then give us pretty green leaves for the rest of the year. Eventually it will grow 8 ft high x 8 feet in diameter. Right now it is about 2.1/2 ft high. I tried a close up of a few of the flowers on a branch. I am still waiting for the lilac buds to open into flowers, and this is why I was very happy to buy this bush. Our deck is beginning to look like Spring now, as I received two lovely hanging baskets for that area, and I already had two, so now we are getting lots of flowers to surround us.

Hi Joan,
Funny title, as to think you can buy a season. Well...maybe not the season but you sure can make it look like it! This almond bush is so pretty! I like the delicate, pink flowers with its curled petals. The way you composed it is nice as we can see it from different angles and in bud stage. Good eye for pretty things.
Well done!
Richard

bonjour Joan.
Voici un bel ensemble de fleurs bien coloré, j'aime bien le cadrage et le sujet occupe bien l'image. Beau travail.

Lovely pink Joan, it is almost abstract. B

Lots of pink to make the boys wink! Forgive me; I've just got out of the shower, and I feel fresh!
Your close up of these lovely flowering almond blooms looks just like a watercolour painting Joan. Nice work. Your deck sounds so pretty. Hope you will take a shot of that too. Your neighbours sound really friendly. It sounds nice to get together with them for breakfast. I saw my first forget-me-know today. Just one flower in a bunch of buds. (smile). Yes, I took a photo. Quite a few until only one came out not blurred. It was windy, plus a shaky hand.
