I dedicate this image to Lucio, redrubin...as accomplishment to a promise I made. Maybe the prices have gone up since the day I took the picture...couldn't say for sure, in all honesty, but Lucio, I guess you get the idea from the picture...:)
With such gas prices even the cars are for sale. :))) The car in the image has a sigh that says: "for sale", but it's too small and the reflection of the window doesn't help much...
You can also see a reflection of me in the bottomm picture, I didn'tbother to remove it in photoshop, instead I chose to post it this way so that it would be an even more personal dedication. :)

p.s. I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to answer to all of you yet, to the messages recieved for my previous posting, but I will...That's a promise, too.

pp work: crop, for both shots, created new file, copied the two pictures into the new file, increased a bit the contrast and saturation, added a frame & that's about it.

Thank you all for dropping by!

Hi, Diana -
Very cool combination of images. The BMW with the "For Sale" sign in the window tells a story about gas prices, all right. I don't think the reflection obscures it too much. Great colors, especially on the upper image. Gas here in Switzerland is well over $8.00 per gallon at the moment, so don't expect me to have much sympathy! I'll be moving back to the U.S. soon, where gas is still "cheap", at least relatively speaking. :-)

Hi Diana,

Indeed - crazy - however, we pay more then twice as much here in the Netherlands - yesterday the taxi's were slowing down to show their dismay and weeks on end before that there were no busses driving, but still the government insist on raising taxes on top of those crazy prices - yes, an universal problem.
Lovely way to get that message across.

TFS

Hello Diana

I hope you are OK.
Lucio seems very nice and I think with your light photo he will be happier. Me too.

My regards

Hi Diana,

I like shots of everyday things that one usually ignores. Well, many can't ignore the gas prices. I just call it my "milk and margarita" money as I don't drink either of those. I tell people when they order a $6.00 martini.... "aren't you glad our cars don't run on martinis?" LOL!

Anyway, back to your photo.... I especially like the bottom one with the strong contrast of colors. I know Lucio appreciates it for his collection, but I like it too for your design.

Lisa

hi Diana.
interesting image.
scary prices.
but not as scary as here in Scotland.
for the same amount of fuel it would cost $60 or more.
we pay 60% tax per liter.

have a good week
Bri.

Hi Diana,
Great «gas station» capture.
For Lucio reaction it is a success.
It was nice to see you're ok, even if it is in the other side of a looking glass (hi Peter Hammil).
Te saludo, mb

Oh my gosh.. that's just unbelievable.. yes, it is crazy, everything seem to be going nuts, not only prices of patrol going through the roof, but the food and living as well... the only thing that dont' go up is the wages!

Good captured, sharpness and lighting!

You take care,
Sweety

Hello Diana. It's interesting the way the composition is framed. The seven series bee-em for sale has a strong message against the rising price of petrol. Very well done and I like this. Best regards. Jusni

Hi BDI!
Amazing picture. Original details. Good sharpness. I like Metallica too.
Cheers!

Hello Sweet Di,

Yes you're right, every week here in the Philippines the crude price is increasing also. The hydrogen vehicles is on the way anyway.

I like what you've done here, very impressive. The details are magnificent. Thank you for always commenting in my pictures. I really appreciated it.

My ability to give points will be next month.

Have a great day lovely woman.
Dennis
