Open for life... Sunsine and dew - almost all they need :-)

I'm going to write my own critique on this photo :-) First of all - I like there are just two colors - green and red. I like the green is so dark and disappears almost in black. I like different tones on the flower and drops of water on it. I like also the flower looks 'lonely' in the space around it. What I don't like - the point of view, it could be better to avoid petals to become one 'mass'. The flower itself is not the best 'model' too. Another remark - the DOF is too shallow I think. I have to be careful with this lens and use higher value of F-stop.

I regret I had no time to experiment with composition. The situation didn't make me feel comfortable and I was in a hurry because of sun coming down. But anyway - I think it's worthy to share it with you.

In postprocessing - used curves to increased contrast and make it more impressive. This photo looks very fine in B&W (if you use channel mixer to change it into B&W) but I thought you would prefer it in color.

All the best

Piotr

you know we are sometimes our own most severe critiquers. You did a wonderful job with this picture ! It is absolutely great. I would be interested to see the B/W version too. Maybe you could upload it as a workshop ?

Thanks

Piotr, this is perfect. Crisp, clear, colorful, contrasty, complitmentary colors, compositionally simple and effective. I would hang this on my wall.

One of thousands and outstanding. Do not agree with the self critique on the points of petal being a mass - it has given character to the flower, also we need not always seek beauty in perfect models and finally the shallow depth has made the petals stand out and look so terrific. Great work Piotr.

Lovely macro of this tulip. I like that one petal that is hanging downwards. The water droplets give it character. I think you critiqued yourself a bit too hard. This is a wonderful shot.

Attractive photo. Technically well made. I especially like your photo angle and very shallow DOF.

Piotrze wspaniale pokazane kwiatki:) podoba mi sie tutaj wszysciutko:) miodzio

I like this two-colours picture and his essentiality, the tulip with drops seems to be so fragile but its colour is really lightful.Piotr it's a beauty.

one is the loneliest number...
...unless it is found by the other one

i also like what you like about it

I think your critique is rather hard on yourself, this flower is lovely, the composition and focus very nice. The color is excellent and the flower looks almost plastic in texture. Well done.

No i ta rosa... Gratuluje!
