Another from my holiday to North Queensland. More coconut palms - there's a lot up there.
This is the lovely pool we swam in everyday. Looks good at night too, although it's a little cool this time of year for swimming at this time of night!
There was a bit of a breeze blowing which gave a little movement to the palms. Just cropped a little in photoshop. |

Philip,
I could have never imagined that a little breeze would make palm trees this interesting looking in a photo. I think the 30 sec. exposure was good and the portrait mode works well for this image. My only nit-pick is the tip of the palm tree on the left is missing. Not a big deal but to be in a magazine, I'd expect either it would need to be cropped tighter or the tip would need to be there. Nevertheless, a VERY attractive night shot. Nice work!
Scott
Nice night shot, did you get one during the blue hour at all? The long exposure's worked well, and given a twinkle to the lights.
Good work, and yes - Scott's right, you'ce clipped a tip!!
Cheers

hello Philip
The movement in the palms make it look really neat! Also the lights look very nice with your delayed shot!
