(NB : to view a series of 14 photos (not all perfect but I hope, amusing) of the same little town where no tourist is venturing, click on the line at the top of each note =>=> waiting for the train, a convoy of bullocks at night)
*******************
(The colours were not so good - taken late in the afternoon, that's why I partly desaturated them.)
The visit of a foreigner in a the local market of this little town is so rare that almost all activities are ceased ; a little crowd was following me and if I stopped to take a photo, then quickly the assistance was growing bigger... and bigger by the minute !
... That's why I decided to take a photo of all the observers who were so friendly, to remember... Only 2 persons seem to want to carry on their business (and a lady from the Lambada tribe is standing on the left with her caracteristic clothes) - (NB : My feet were often attracting much attention, like here too :))
******************
(I've yet to answer to your last critiques, I'll do it the next days ; the reason of the "no ratings please" = as I wrote in my last post and in my intro : for the time being, I'd prefer to get non rated critiques or comments, as I'm not able to visit very regularly this fine site - please don't waste your precious "smileys" with me, but of course I'll be very happy to read all your reactions, positive or negative (and I'll answer once in a while - sorry if I'm late in my answers !) Thanks for your visit... |

Hi Catherine,
Great capture of this daily life scene. Gives me a good impression about how they live. I do give this 2 points to the people in the photo .... for looking so nice to me.
Congrats with this great shot.
greetings,
Joop!
Hi Catherine
I've experienced similar when heading into the more remote provinces of Philippines. Maybe not such a huge crowd following me around, but certainly everybody stops to see what the foreigner wants to photograph!
Technically this may not be the best shot - but you were under a lot of pressure at the time, haha! - but in terms of subject, and even of making me feel slightly anxious because of all those curious faces, it's one of the best shots I've seen in some time.
