Hi Folks,

I am posting here an image of a sunset view as seen from my balcony. Just a stone throw away across the street is a village mosque, Muslims’ place of worship (prayer).

Here is how the skyscape and the mosque in silhouette relates:

The Maghrib prayer is the sunset daily prayer performed by practising Muslims. It is the fourth of the five daily prayers (salat).

The five daily prayers collectively are one pillar of the Five Pillars of Islam, in Sunni Islam, and one of the ten Practices of the Religion (Furū al-Dīn) according to Shia Islam.

It is a 3 rak'ah daily prayer and the first 2 rak'ah are prayed aloud. In both types of Islam, the Maghrib daily prayer has three required (Fard) rak'ah. However, in Sunni Islam, two Sunnah rak'ah following the Fard raka'ah are highly recommended.

The Maghrib prayer also is the fastest daily prayer Muslims usually shall hold, due to its occupancy of the shortest time period allowed to recite.

The beginning of the time for the Maghrib Prayer is when the sun sets. Its final time is when the stars become numerous and form clusters with one another.

However, its actual final time, although it is dislike to delay it until this time, is when the twilight is finished.

Last but not least, the Maghrib prayer indicates the end of the daily Muslim obligatory fasting during the holy month of Ramadan.

Pity, a bit too late.
I should have ask you to asked the Prayer, if he go do a good pray for me, as yesterday the National lottery had to give away, 25 million euro.!

Excellent capture of colour gradients in the sky. I would place the dome just a little bit more to the left although I know you are observing the rule of thirds. Did you use a polarizer for this shot? Very informative notes.
