| The second in a 3 part series about the flowers in my aunt's back yard. I tried a different setting on these photos, getting some crisp clear pictures. I am not sure the type of flower this is, or whether or not the innards of the flower should even look like this. It looks as if there are phillia in there that have trapped something. I should have paid closer attention in my botany classes. |

Hello Nathan,
By the petal and flower I would say this is a rose, Rosa Rugosa to be precise.
The light on the rose is so effective in that it renders the petals to be almost velvet.
Great colour.
