[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These wild geraniums volunteered in my garden a few years ago. They're one of my favorite unexpected guests. I call them the party crashers because this bunch of blooms poked their way through the ferns like curious onlookers.

The light was nice Friday evening, just before a storm broke out in spring fury. I took one look at the weather radar and knew I'd better get outside and shoot a few (err, a card full) before the storm hit us.

Sorry there's no EXIF info for you; I managed to strip it from everything on this series. :P It was a hand-held shot at ISO 100 with just the natural light. Cropped, sharpened and framed using Photofiltre.

Very nice I love the dark green background of the ferns.

Great composition, I love how the flower goes from one end of the photo to the other and the ferns in the background.

Simply perfect, the colours, composition, focus everything.

Beautiful colors and framing.
Love the fern background. Very pleasant to look at.

Beautiful flowers framed in by the ferns. Focus is great and the lighting seems perfect in this photo.

Another great macro shot of these little invaders. Well done Kimberley. Its nice to have unexpected flowers pop up like that.
