As mentioned in my intro one of my interests is lasers. Here we see my most powerful and spectacular laser in action. I'm sure you will agree the colours are wonderful and I have to say the effect in reality is more impressive (though in a very different way - if that makes sense)than the photograph as it includes movement.
The laser itself produces seven individual colours red green and five shades of blue to produce a psedo-white beam. This is fed through an optical modulator that effectively switches the colours in and out. The colour selection takes place while the resulting beam is shone onto a pair of mirrors that move the beam around through X and Y axis. There is also smoke on the air for the beam to catch to light up and produce the effect you see here. Its all computer controlled so the limit is your imagination.
I hope you see the beauty of this as I do.
If anyone out there knows anything about lasers you may be interested in the tech spec.
Spectra physics SP168 head with cambridge mixed gas (Ar/Kr) tube powered by a single phase converted 265 exciter. The head outputs up to 2.7W but the pic is taken at 1W across seven lines. Effects Using a Neos 8 ch PCAOM with all blues lines tied together and GS 120 scanners on a home built rig. Control by laser Illusions Alphalite (though i just got medialas Mamba which is superb) |

I do see the beauty of Lights everywhere. So this is a very good capture too and I love the reflection of person on the middle also amidst the colorful lights. tfs!
Amazing shot. Its surprising how you have made the lasers come to life.
