Good morning Peeps

So today is day three that I challenge Hans (Greenbaron) to post a similar shot. My clue to him yesterday was "A Sting in its tail"

I think maybe the clue was too easy :-)

I shot this image last Sunday at Blenheim palace and I didn't really look at it until late last night.. When I opened it I was smiling from ear to ear... hes looking right at the camera and sticking his tongue out at me lol, what a cheeky bee.

Near the palace there was a Lavendar and rose garden, I will find another shot and post to workshop tonight of the actual garden. The Lavendar was absolutely alive with bees going about their business. I leaned accross some of the flowers to get this capture and for a moment it was quite scarey as I felt I was surrounded by the buzzing insects. All was well though as they really were not interested in me and the rebel they had much more important things to do, like collecting the nectar and pollinating the flowers.

Unusually for me I decided not to frame this shot, I felt its simple and clean lines were fine to be left alone.

TTFN and thanks for taking the time to view

Luv Smrufie

P.S. Looking forward to seeing what you post today then Hansie and tomorrow you get a break as I post my theme image.

Hi, Helen -
I never thought a bee could be said to have an "expression" on its face, but you captured one here. Gorgeous sharp detail and bright colors; the bee is well-placed in the frame. Well done.

Hi Helen

Hi Helen

Superb macro shot. The "fur" and the wing are rendered so beautifully. Really nice blurred background for the bee too.

hello Helen,
very good macro. Love both bee (with its sticky-out tongue) and the lovely lavendar.
Bev

Simular shot he? Forget it. But finally I found a flying object with a "sting" in its tail :-)
Like this nice sharp and well composed image Helen. The deatials of the wing are perfect! Great macro, I think I'm going to try to picture some of these flying objects too. Well anyway a wonderful posting.
Hans

N.B. The theme "Looking down" gives me more opportunities than the "sting" thing :-)

Hello Helen,
A stunning macro! Details are amazing. Very good colours, sharpness, cadrage and an interesting POV. I can see curiosity in the insect's eyes ;) Excellent work, keep it up!

Yes, he is looking at you!
What a great 'posing' shot!
