Welcome to LOLA'S!!!! DON'T YOU JUST LOVE THAT NAME? I was driving down Market Street (the main street in San Francisco) when I saw this bright store front. I HAD to pull over and photograph it with all its loops and twirls. It wasn't until I was processing it for posting that saw the "Piercing" sign and realized that it's a tattoo and body piercing shop . . . or maybe just piercing with clothing?!? Earlier when I had seen "Boutique" on the window I assumed it was kind of funky clothing store. I was wrong. I have another one of the same subject with a Baptist church reflected very clearly in the window, which I find pretty ironic and humorous.
Hope you like it. |

Ha! Great find! Love the design around the window. I also like the composition and the way the corner of the building to the right of the window adds dimension and more interesting features to the scene. I enjoy your street shots...you discover some terrific shots:)
Added later: I did a quick workshop to clone out some minor distractions in the two upper corners. Just practicing:)
Hi Richard!
Body piercing?!?!
Ask my daughter Flaminia about...! :-)
The shot is really humorous, you cannot easily understand if it is a clothes or other's shop.

Ciao, Antonella
Hi Richard,
That is cool, I love street art like this, the colours are great and it is a really good subject.
Cheers
Tom
Hi Richard,
I thought it needed some work, still does actually (see workshop note). I would prefer to see the entire design and preferably without the window reflection. It's a good subject.
The Dutch have a saying "niet uit de verf komen", which literally translated is "not coming out of the paint", but means "not living up to it's promise" or "not come into its own".
For me the great subject that caught your eye (and would mine if I saw this) is not coming out of the paint sufficiently. That's why I did a workshop. I hope you don't mind.
Jim
P.s. after uploading and comparing your original with what I uploaded, I see that my version is much bigger than the one I downloaded from this site. It comes across less clear. I don't understand how this happened. I used BDSizer!
Hi Richard!
I'm proud of my body piercings! :D
Now I have a new one.. and my mother isn't happy!
Amazing shot, great POV and colors!
TFS,
Flaminia
